Recon anybody - The Military Watch Resource - Community Fora -

So I bought a watch from this site moonwatchtimepieces.com its funds pending, he only takes usps money order. But for some reason I'm getting the sweaty palm syndrome. We have been emailing back and forth, but I cant shake it. The site says he's nawcc and his website is on their member list, I think whats making me nervous is



1. money order only

2. There is no references/testimonials section on his site.

3. And he agreed to put the watch on hold, but as of yet it is stated still available.

4. On his "recent additions" tab, its blank.



anyone care to take a look and chime in on this? Or better yet any one deal with with this company? And its funds pending because I wont be able to mail the money order till may 2.

I thought it seemed odd, and a search of the archive CD shows it has been discussed before (14th Feb 07). The pics of the back and movement on Ebay now are identical to those discussed before (watch set to a different time but undoubtedly the same hands etc; same shadows from the flash etc).

Omega Any recent Bienne servicing-11275 -

i use Beinne about once a year on average. just had one serviced in February. 10 weeks door to door turn around time and an fantastic job as well.

i always tell folks to not use Bienne this time of year. they have summer holiday and the entire place comes to a near shut down for weeks. if you do send it in this time of year, be prepared to wait. count on 12-16 weeks instead of the usual 8-12

Bienne is the only place i use/trust with my Omega's. outstanding service and professionalism has been my experience. i have no doubts you'll be happy with the results. however, they should make mention of this summer delay on their web site somewhere. i remember not being happy when i initially found out the hard way back around 2003. sent a Seamaster in for minor warranty repair in early July. got it back mid November!!.

sit tight buddy. this too shall pass.

Omega Buy tool just to adjust Speedy band-10108 -

It is cheap, especially when compared to the cost of the watch AND the extra link you got for it. Or go to Omega AD and hope that they do a good job of it. The advantage of doing it yourself is that if your wrist slims down, you can take the link out.

I think you are overanalyzing this. Your Speedy deserves good care!

Omega Please help! Suspect Seamaster bracelet-1322 -

I just bought a new "genuine" Omega Seamaster bracelet on the auction site and have some concerns. The bracelet is the 1610/930 "Speedy" type. The primary pin in the clasp which locks the whole works together is actually hollow when you look at the underside of the clasp. In all the other pictures I have seen, that pin ends in a flat round piece that sits flush. In this case, it is just a hole. Is this a sure sign of a fake? Thanks much for all the input.

I visited the omega AD a week ago and really thinking of 2201.50 or chrono diver black dial , the guy let me tried them on my wrist





i have never had any omega before, but these seamasters really bothers my sleep

any coments on pros and cons ? i know its really personal preference but I really appreciate your comment and suggestions on these two..

the guy at the AD comment the PO as the most popular and the latest technology in watchmaking ... but he also comment that the chrono diver although an old model but it does looks "diver"
